We are searching the world for 1,000 people to each run a 5K between September 1 and October 31. This is in honor of PERRY NEWBURN’S RUN ACROSS AMERICA. For his 60th birthday, Perry will be attempting to break the 34 year old world record and run across America in 46 days! He will be running 3,100 miles, which is the equivalent of running 1,000 5K’s. So we invite you to virtually run a 5K in honor of Perry.
You choose your course, You time your own race. You submit your results to us. We will send you a beautiful finisher’s medal and window decal and a great big THANK YOU from Perry! Proceeds from this event will go to help cover the costs of Perry’s run, as well as a portion of each registration will go towards to the two charities the Perry is running for: Sunshine Heroes and Koru Care New Zealand.

What: Complete 5K! Set a goal for what your finishing time will be and dedicate your run to PERRY
When: Complete your race any time between September 1 and December 31.
Where: You choose the course and you time yourself (you’ll report your finishing time to us).
Why: Because we want as many people as we can get to virtually run alongside Perry as he makes his way across the USA, running on average, more than 60 miles a day. We want 1,000 people completing a 5K, in honor of the 3,100 miles Perry will be running across the USA.
